Javier Herrero (Valencia 1981) graduated as an Industrial Design Engineer in 2003 at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU. Prior to this, he spent one year at the Politecnico di Milano University, where he studied with Enzo Mari and Raffaella Mangiarotti to complete his FPC. From 2003 to 2005, Javier Herrero studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. There, he explored various art disciplines such as painting, drawing and sculpture.
In 2004, together with three university colleagues, he founded Ebualà, his first design studio, where he developed numerous industrial and graphic design projects. Several of these have been awarded in national and international design prizes and have been published in diverse specialised and general publications. But in 2009, Herrero decided to branch out on his own. He opened the Javier Herrero* Studio, specialising in product design for furniture and lighting. The studio has also done some incursions into the world of interior and stand design. His work is characterized by simplicity and an open-minded, creative approach, which turns every project into a unique experience. Over the years, Javier Herrero has collaborated with many leading companies such as Escofet, LZF Lamps, Sancal or Expormim.
Javier Herrero (Valencia 1981) se diploma como I.T. en Diseño Industrial en 2003 por la Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU, tras un año en el Politécnico di Milano donde finaliza su PFC junto a profesores de la talla de Enzo Mari o Raffaella Mangiarotti, entre otros. Entre 2003 y 2005 cursa la licenciatura de Bellas Artes en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, donde amplia sus conocimientos en materias plásticas como la pintura, el dibujo y la escultura.
En 2004 funda su primer estudio dedicado al diseño, Ebualà, junto a tres ex-compañeros de universidad donde desarrolla múltiples proyectos de diseño industrial y gráfico. Algunos de estos proyectos resultan premiados en concursos de diseño a nivel nacional e internacional y aparecen en múltiples publicaciones especializadas y generalistas. Desde 2009 emprende carrera en solitario en Javier Herrero* Studio, centrándose en el diseño de producto, sobretodo en el ámbito del mueble y la iluminación. También ha desarrollado proyectos de interiorismo y diseño de stands. Su manera de proyectar se caracteriza por la sencillez, y por aplicar un enfoque creativo e innovador en cada proyecto, así como por saber interpretar las necesidades de cada cliente. Durante todos estos años ha trabajado para empresas líderes como Escofet, LZF Lamps, Sancal o Expormim entre otros.
